Yog Temple is a center where we live spirituality and strive for the universal healing of our clients. We work at all levels and combine different health practices like Yoga, Ayurveda, and energetical healing into a holistic approach. We are not a western medicine clinic, nor do we use such methods of healing.
What does Yog Temple mean?
Yog = unity, Temple = place of Sadhana (spiritual practices), a place to recharge your energies
‘Yog’ is the original expression, which has been transformed into ‘yoga’ in the West because of language and pronunciation difficulties.
Yog is the spiritual heritage of India, which was passed down to us from our very first ancestors. The knowledge of Yog was first written down in the Vedas (ancient texts from the Vedic culture of India). Yog includes physical, mental and spiritual practices.
Temple is a place where spiritual practices are performed. In the meaning of Ashram, it also refers to as a place where one tries to approach his (spiritual) goal. Originally, a temple was not a place of worshiping but a place to recharge your energies.
Our Philosophy
Nipun and Leni met in India and jointly led the Indian Yog Temple in Goa and the Himalayas. After a few years, the desire to bring the secrets of Yoga to Austria was born. Therefore, they opened Yog Temple Austria in 2017, where yoga and alternative healing methods are practiced.
Our three cornerstones are Yoga, Ayurveda, and Shamanism. We combine these ancient methods for spiritual growth. Yoga provides the techniques to raise the consciousness and to live a joyful life. With the help of Ayurveda, we can keep our body healthy for that adventure. Shamanism helps to solve every day and inherited problems so that we can focus on our spiritual journey.

Classical Hatha Yoga
Nipun, our Indian yoga teacher, teaches the traditional roots of this ancient way of life and shows you how this can be integrated into a modern lifestyle. Nipun’s sequencing is safe and made available for all levels of yoga practitioners, whether it is your first day of practicing yoga or the first day of your tenth year. Everyone will have fun, stretching, bending and twisting on their mats.
At Yog Temple, we aim to go beyond the practice of asanas and dive deep into the spiritual aspects of Yoga. This will bring a sense of fullness into your yoga journey. We also share the knowledge of Ayurveda, chakra awakening and our very own experience of yoga and recovery. Like this, we connect to our students on a deeper level. Yoga is truly a science of right living. It starts by bringing all body functions into perfect coordination. Yoga integrates our mental and emotional levels with the physical body and helps us to live a harmonious life.
Our yoga teacher training is registered with Yoga Alliance International. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate which is valid worldwide.
Holistic Healing
Originally the term ‘medicine’ points to the center of man, same as the stem of the word ‘meditation’. Meditation still aims for self-centration. In modern medicine, this approach was lost in the course of its rather short history. We still find traces of the ‘re-centering’ in the word ‘remedy’. It originates from the Latin word ‘remedium’, which means ‘back-to-centre’. In our healing center, we take on this approach and try to bring our clients back to the center. At Yog Temple, we work with Yoga, Ayurveda, Shamanism, Reiki and Psycho-energetical Kinesiology.

Leni Sharma
Shamanic practitioner, Energy Healing therapist, Certified Yoga teacher
Leni was born in Austria, in the middle of the Alps. There she also spent her youth building a close relationship with nature. At the age of 18, she began practicing shamanism. Later, other methods of healing such as psycho-energetical kinesiology and reincarnation therapy were added. In India, Leni was taught the teachings of Yoga by Chidanand C. Bubanale. She also deepened her knowledge of Ayurveda under Dr. Vinesh Bandekar. With her work, she wants to increase the well-being of her clients and achieve a deeper understanding of illness. Disease always keeps a message ready for us. We must learn to understand and change our lifestyles accordingly. Then nothing stands in the way of a long, fulfilled, and healthy life.
